Gertrude Franklin Horn Atherton collection, 1907-1945.

Collection contains letters from Atherton to Clifford Smyth, editor of The New York Times Saturday Review of Books and Art, in which she discusses her own work and that of other writers, and sends her comments on the Saturday Review. Many of the remaining letters are responses to fan letters. There is also a corrected typescript of an article by Atherton; a questionnaire from The Manuscript Club that was filled out by Atherton; and a photograph of her that she inscribed to Clifford Smyth.
